On the Government’s initiative to transform public action by simplifying procedures for individuals and facilitating business development through faster administrative procedures, a parliamentary report was produced as a follow-up to the “Rencontres de la simplification” launched in November 2023. The resulting bill has had its proposals supplemented by draft amendments to the commercial lease regime concerning the arrangements for paying rent and setting the security deposit. This was in fact the sole subject of the ministry’s press release of 4 April 2024: the introduction of monthly rent payments in commercial leases and a cap on security deposits. A study of the bill makes it possible to define the scope of these announcements.
